We currently have a Facility Technician 1 position to fill within our maintenance department. This is a full-time position with benefits. Please see below for the job description.         

 

 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Possess valid driver’s license and maintain safe driving record.
  3. Good physical health, capable of physical labor including working extreme heights and in confined areas.
  4. Computer literate – able to use work order management programs.
  5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Foreman, Chief Facilities and Maintenance Officer

 

JOB GOAL                            

 

To maintain school buildings and grounds in top condition in order to provide a quality learning environment for all students.

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Grounds Maintenance – Complete ground maintenance such as trimming, spraying, clean up, mulching, mowing, and playground surface removal and replacement.
  2. Maintenance Tasks – Light repair work, roof maintenance, ceiling tile replacement, etc.
  3. Assist Technicians – Assist in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and related maintenance projects.
  4. Pursue training – Complete trainings to broaden knowledge of the operation and maintenance of the physical plant.
  5. Other duties as assigned by the CFMO, and/or Foreman.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

This job may require lifting of objects weighing up to 100 lbs., with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows:

 

  • Pushing and/or pulling
  • Climbing
  • Stooping and/or kneeling
  • Reaching
  • Talking
  • Hearing
  • Seeing
  • Climbing and working off a ladder or scaffold at heights
  • Able to be respirator certified

WORK CONDITIONS

 

Medium to high degree of discomfort due to exposure to temperature, fumes, dirt, just, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
